6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Learn the basics of Chilean cooking with Barbara Palacios in the Cooking Around The World class series at the Sitka Kitch community rental commercial kitchen (located at First Presbyterian Church, 505 Sawmill Creek Road). This class takes place from 6-8:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, at the Sitka Kitch.
Barbara, who is of Chilean descent, is a chef with the Westmark Sitka Hotel and the Dock Shack (Totem Square Inn). She is still deciding which dishes she will teach for this class. Last year she taught a popular class on how to make empanadas, a popular dish in Chile and other Latin America countries.
The cost is $27.50 for the class, plus a food/supply fee based on the number of participants. Your spot is not secured until you pay. You can pay online with a debit or credit card or PayPal through this site. If you would like to pay by check or cash, call Chandler or Clarice of the Sitka Conservation Society at 747-7509 to arrange a payment time. Registration closes at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, and the class requires eight students for it “to go”.
If you need to cancel, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org at least 72 hours prior to the start of the class to receive a partial refund.
